Arriving again in the daily driver (this is becoming a habit ) as the Edsel still not running but
at least I know what's wrong with it now.....the engine timing was a mile out due to excessive
wear on the timing chain to the point that the crankshaft sprocket moved 1/2 inch, before the
chain took up the slack and moved the camshaft sprocket, no wonder it wouldn't start. New
parts are on order and by the time this is read it will be sorted out. Which it was but then the
gearbox went..Ahh the joys of old cars...
Got set up quickly, I'm getting used to this caravaning lark now,  a bit of grub followed by a
couple of beers and then bed...
Saturday and the weather although sunny was still quite cold. A quick walk round revealed
that there was a lot of people here despite the fact that there were a few shows on over the
weekend.
Sunday night and it was the turn of “Johnny and the Jailbirds” to entertain us and they
were exceptional  from start to finish they kept the crowd on their feet.
And then it was all over for another night why is it that just as you get started it's time to
finish? But as always the party carried on at camp Blacktop until the small hours

During Monday Colin Gold played a set great set and he will be appearing at the
Autumn Nationals.
Judging for the awards took place over Sunday and Monday and was brought forward
on the Monday too allow people to set off early and avoid the dreaded Bank Holiday
congestion.
So it was over for another year and to those that attended thank you, to those that didn’
t there’s always next year.

Rock n Roll Weekend
Music and Cars get together at Billing
over the May Bank Holiday Weekend
Some of the Saturday Cars
The Firebirds provided the
entertainment for Saturday night
and they were good playing
some classic Rock n Roll
Again the festivities were
soon over and it was time for
the midnight barbie.
Another misty start to the day and even I succumbed to the night before hangover and
went back to bed feeling a bit rough. When I eventually emerged the field had filled up
rather nicely and there was a good selection of vehicles. The traders alley had been
moved to the perimeter of the main field and it worked well with many favourable
comments from both the traders and public.
Drop dead gorgeous 70's Mustang
was amongst the prizewinners..
Pick up had a lot going on inside
and out with some nicely executed
graphic's and paint
Old and new Vettes
