ALL CLUBS RALLY
And so cometh the last major show in the AACI 2006 calender and it was a cracker. Again we set
off late (7:40 pm)and to avoid the delays going over Woodhead ( Roadworks --- that makes a
change) I decided to go down the M6 what a big mistake all was going well until junction 16 then
it stopped and continued at a snails pace until Junction 12 the reason for the hour and a
quarter's delay, roadworks on the roundabout at J12.  Apparently "V Fest" was on at Woolaton
Park and this was causing the problem, anyway once clear there was no more drama apart from
from a couple of d*******s trying force there way into my lane at the tollbooths on the M6 Toll still
some people have no idea....
Arriving at Billing at around 11:30 pm we quickly set up just as the others were making there way
back from the marquee and apparently they had a good time.....
1:45 am  and it was time for sleep for me. Megan and Lisa had been asleep on the way down
and didn't feel tired although once my little girl was in bed it didn't take long for her to hit the
ZZZ's.

Saturday
The weather forecast was for a mixed bag over the weekend and they certainly got it right on
Saturday. One minute it was bright sunshine, overcast and then it pissed down and back to
bright sunshine. With the mixed bag of weather it was rather subdued around the site as some
had decided to stay away. A cruise had been organised to a American themed Diner I decided to
go along. The usual splitting up occurred and eventually everybody arrived safely and only a few
minutes apart.
Once at the diner  it was inside for food
for some whilst some headed back to
Billing as the weather was on the
change, the majority headed inside to
be greeted by a bewildered looking
assistant but eventually Angie (
Dodgegirl) secured us a group table.
With portions big enough for Desperate
Dan those that had ordered food were
not dissappointed. Unfortunatly I had to
be back at Billing for 4pm as I had to
babysit whilst the girls went on my
future sister in law's hen party so I
headed back.
DJ's new ride.. Go Mango
Dodge Ram Daytona
Shades of 58 Edsel and
Chevy Apache of Chris
Walker and Stewart Revill
Extra large portions kept
the hunger at bay.
DJ was just having a
snack
Pick Up's are very popular at the moment
New addition to Chris Jackson's stable was this 300C Turbo Diesel
Wagon. I managed to blag a drive of it later in the afternoon and I
was impressed. Not easily impressed by new vehicles this is one
car that would grace my drive if I could afford one it was incredibly
quiet and had enough power to throw you back in your seat when
the loud pedal was depressed.
Whilst the women went off enjoying themselves it was time to indulge in what we men do best
mainly talk the talk and drink plenty of falling down water. One or two had made up some
concoctions and they all seemed to go down well but I drew the line at the "Apricots in Brandy" that
DJ had brought with him. I have been there before and believe me one is enough two is lunacy and
three is just suicidal. But there were one or two brave people who tried ( bet they don't do that again
in a hurry).
Sara Revill's  party arrived back and continued their revelries back at camp. Unfortunately some
people over indulged and had to put to bed early but they managed to escape their sleeping bag
and carried on partying with us in the Marquee for a couple of more hours until they couldn't take no
more and again were put to bed along with their tent buddy.
And so the party continued in the marque but sadly I missed
the band playing but from all accounts they were quite good,
the usual end of of night barbie was resumed once the
evenings entertainment had finished and then some sleep.
That is for some of us as there were many who couldn't sleep
judging by the noise around the site....
Sunday ...
Should keep you going for a
couple of hours...
