Sunday at shows is always a strange day...There are  the traders get everything ready for another day and
then there is always the " behind the scenes activity"  organising marshals, the paperwork where the
exhibitors will display their vehicles and the million and one other things that the average person doesn't see
and all this after a night's enjoyment to you people I take my hat off for without it shows just wouldn't exist.

But for the majority of us it's up at a reasonable hour reach for the hangover cure and begin the day in a more
civilised fashion. Getting your vehicle ready a bit of breakfast and then proceed to the showfield to be
greeted by a field that is already filling up nicely.
Cobra Dayvan
looks better now
the roof paint has
been
finished
There were plenty of
vehicles  from all era's to
keep the visitors happy
I remember this Hudson being roof
chopped as the NASC street Rod
nationals back in the late nineties and
it gets better every time I see it. Nice
rear light installation to go with the
current trend for matt paint.
Does my bum look big
from here, no but the
pointy bits look great...
Two very clean 60's Caddy's
With Pick Up's
becoming more
popular the Dually is
gaining popularity
The AACI are sponsoring the "Ragin Cajun "
Altered Drag Racing Team next season and it
made a welcome change on the showfield in
front of the "Insprayation" stand who had
done all the prep and paint on the vehicle
..Nice job there Mo and good luck with your
new Bodyshop.
Problems with the crankshaft meant that it
couldn't be fired up when it was displayed
outside the marquee later in the afternoon but
I'm sure Glynn will have it sorted by the time
you read this report. May I wish you all the
best for next year's racing and may all the
breakages be minor..
As I was staying over till Monday it made a change not to have to start packing up but for some the usual
ritual had begun. I ventured out onto the showfield armed with my camera and although the number of club
stands was down on last year there was still some very nice vehicles around.
The weather had held out during the day which helped boost the number of Sunday visitors and all too soon it
was time for prize giving. But before the trophies were handed out the draw for the raffle was made tickets for
which had been available over the weekend. The winner received a very nice compact Pontiac complete with
12 month tax and ticket.
The diversity of the vehicles shows why this is a
popular show
The Dodge Pick-Up seems to be
winning in the popularity stakes

With only a few shows left until the end of the season I think it's in order to say a big thank
you to Harry and Pam Tune, the marshals the AACI 911 team and of course to the exhibitors
for another fantastic show season at Billing. I know there is still the firework show in
November but  the following weekend I am getting married so I won't be able to attend due to
prior arrangements being made so for those that are going have a great time and I will
hopefully see you at the Springnationals in 2007
