I woke on Saturday (10 am) still a little bit tender from the previous nights events but hey, the sun
was shining the sound of V8's rumbling past and at least I didn't have a bad head (No Beer)
After a very light breakfast and shower it was time too hit the comfy chair and watch the steady
stream of early Saturday arrivals and there were plenty off them. It looked as if the gates had only
just opened and the backlog were eager to get in.
There had been rumours that there was going to be a cruise to a local airstrip that was done out
like a 1930's but by midday nothing had filtered through to us as too what was happening so we all
settled down to some RnR in the sun.
Neil Frost (The Billing Virgin) was heard to mention that he had a great night and was definatly
coming again I t must be a bit daunting to attend a full weekend show for the first time especially
when it was this packed, but he survived the weekend although he didn't make it out Saturday night
(Fell asleep and didn't wake up till 11pm despite trying to wake him) I christened him van winkle after
that.
After the evening barbie the weather had cooled slightly soI had a walk round the showfield I had
been round earlier in the day and it was very busy. I even managed to catch up with Fin on his new
trade stand (It was really busy and I'm glad that at last there is someone selling car parts at an
American show) I had arranged to pick up some more pipe so that i could finish my exhausts. Have
a look at his website for more info

It was Stewart Revills birthday the following Thursday so whilst he was distracted on the showfield
his caravan was suitably decorated.
Stewart Revill felt a right tit (and
a left one ) when his cake was
brought out..

There were one or two disappointed people arriving in the
afternoon because due to the sheer numbers the gates
were closed  (at 2pm) to non pre entries. This has never
happened before and shows how busy it really was. They
were only allowing day visitors in and some used this ploy to
get in
Saturday nights entertainment in the marquee was the
"Blues Brothers". And despite the several power cuts the
night went well with a lot of people staying outside due to
the heat. Again the night ended too soon and it was back to
camp to continue the night.
