Sunday Show & Shine
As I was up early I decided to have a walk around the pits. There was a lot of activity going
on with most racer's getting stuff ready for the day's racing. You can get some feel for the
place when the place is this quiet, and most of the teams usually have time for a quick chat.
Pro Mod Camaro minus its body
panels. Once the panels were
re-fitted it looked awesome
and turned in some fast times.
Late model Camaro looked tough and ran really
strong turning in some respectable times
Nash Wagon was
up for sale at a
good price and
has probably
found a new home
by now. Would
look ultra cool on
big rims and air
Even the youngsters are getting in on
the act as this Junior Dragster shows
The first thing I spotted whilst walking
round the show field were these two
"Bobbers" they looked fantastic. Now if I
can only persuede the missus that she
doesn't really need that new kitchen! The
field was slowly filling up and a good
selection of Rod's and Yanks turned out.
Classic British bikes given the "Rodder"
treatment
Nice 34 Sports Sedan looks almost a
resto with its two-tone paint scheme.
             A trio of 32's
The roadster wore a coat of
metalflake even wheels were
flaked
Blue Sedan was my favourite and
would be the path i would follow
if I ever built one.
Modern style yellow was a head
turner.
The Copper Kruiser still looking
good despite having been around
for a good few years
With the sunny skyline and
sandy ground you could easily
picture this fully fendered
coupe in the States.
Ford Ranchero was based on the
Falcon and was sweet.
Pro- Mods in action.
Pinball Wizard a
classic rod from
the eighties
Was Scott from the NSRA
playing hide and seek or is it
some kind of fetish he has
either way I didn't ask.
"The Blacktop Babes "
And so the only thing left was to get ready for the Sunday night party and that as they say is
another story one that I don't remember to much about except for go-karts at midnight and getting
to bed at 3:30 Am and waking up feeling dog rough so it must have been a good night.

Flawless fit and finish on this Outlaw Anglia. The team
were really helpful and took time out to chat and even
moved the canopy pole so that i could get a good
picture.
I hope the owner leaves well alone and keeps
this Chevy Pick-Up as is
Nick Kemps old Zodiac has been
rebuilt and now sports a blowwer
and pearl paint and looks better
than ever..
