Sunday morning and the sun was shining it was going to be a hot one. It had rained heavily during the night but
most people didn't hear it ( ain't alcohol great for making you sleep) A quick clean of the car and onto the
showfield there was already a few down there and then back for breaky..theres nothing like a good full english
after a night on the beer.

The show is run by Phil and Jackie Walker (no relation) and in conjunction with the Sewerby Gala so it was a
hive of activity in the other field with the gala setting up.
Around 10 am the gates opened and a constant stream of punters onto the field the majority of which headed
straight for the car show field...
Space was at a premium on the showfield as the organisers had cut back on space due to a new pavillion being
built (a problem that will be addressed for next year) and the cars were packed in. An estimated 160 vehicles
being booked in with all makes and years being present it made for a good variation to the paying public.
Mild Buick Kustom..
Very nice Cadillac...
Pontiac Tempest...Clean
and strange with it's slant 4
engine. Basically half a V8
very rare indeed...
Revamped old time
mini looked stunning.
I do like 50's
Ford's

real nice
example
Mustang Convert straight and
unmolested......
Late arrival Camaro
bagged a trophy
Most popular marque of
the show was Pontiac
with a wide range to
look at...
Economy and style, diesel
powered stepside best of both
world's..
88 Bronco was nicely
turned out
These two sixties Pontiac were absolutely stunning with the pale
blue Grand Prix being my favourite of the day.....
You don't see many of these
about. Fairlane 500 convertible
Don't you just wish it was
your's...
57 Fairlane was a new one to
me and very nice too...
Well stacked ...you bet it was....
General Lee proved popular
with the kids.....
60's Chrysler.....held it's own
amongst the more popular
marque's
That's a fine pair of Dagmars...
With the gala in full flow there was a lot of visitor's to the show
and gave a welcome diversion to the usual attractions of the
larger shows.
And if you got bored with that you could always go down to the
beach, into Bridlington, or just sit in the sun and relax.
The organiser's had got it just right with the setting and trade
stalls and it made for a fantastic show...and one that I for one
will definatly be going to again next year....

At 4:30pm it was time for prize giving and was the trophies had
been awarded it was time to pack up and head of home.
And so ended another show, I must say a big thank you to Phil
and Jackie and their helper's for putting on a fantastic show.
Without the dedication of people like these, then the show circuit
would lose another great show. So next time you are at a loss for
somewhere to go then consider this show as you won't be
disappointed, and you will be helping to keep this hobby alive.
Here's to Fort Paull another great show from Phil and Jackie....
Apparently rotor flex is common on take
off and landing but still looked scary to
me.....
