SpringNationals
Billing Aquadrome  7-8-9 April 2006
With the Edsel not finished in time due to a top suspension ball joint not arriving in time from
Dennis Carpenters, I had to go in the daily driver Passatt.
A comfortable no thrills ride down ensued  and we arrived at Billing around 5:30pm.
The caravan was quickly set up, time for a cold one and something to eat. After being fed and
watered, it was time sit back and freeze - it was bloody cold I can tell you and  the two brass
monkey's I saw looking for a welder thought so too.
Into the marquee where it was marginally warmer but after a few more cold ones it started to
warm up but more than likely it was the beer taking effect.
Lou the resident DJ played some decent tunes and soon had the place hotting up even I got up
dancing with the missus (A sight you don't see to often). Again it ended to soon and the
majority headed back to carry on the night at there respective camps.
Stuart Dawson's revamped "32"
now with flames and new
wheels.
Drop dead 56 was  next to us.
Features remote air ride tech
suspension

Colin (artb) from the AACI
Forum visited on the Saturday
afternoon just before the rain
Saturday morning wasn't any warmer but there was a steady stream of cars coming in. The sun
shone for a while but the heavens opened up mid afternoon. With the weather being very
interchangeable there wasn.t much else to do but stay in the camp
Springnationals was a major coup for Harry Tune. They were brilliant but my little girl wanted
to go back to the caravan to sleep and it was my turn to babysit so I missed the last 15 minutes
of their set ( but I could hear it), and everybody I spoke to next day agreed that they were one of
the best acts that have been at an AACI event.
