The sun certainly had his hat on for this premier Northern show set in the
stately grounds of Tatton Park in Cheshire
This is a local show for me and being only 24 miles away this is the first time that I have stayed over
for the weekend, what a fool I've been.
Entry is free if you are attending in an American vehicle/Hot Rod or British Classic but only if you
pre - enter. And believe me it is advisable to pre enter as some unlucky exhibitors found out on
Sunday.
A leisurely 1/2 hour drive and we had arrived and soon set up. There was entertainment in the
marquee but we had decided to relax around the caravan with a few beers and the usual barbecue
later on.
I had a stroll round said hello to the AACNW members had a look at a few cars as I did a quick
tour round the campsite.
Again the sandman got the better of me and it was time to hit the pillow. It didn't take long to
make some ZZZZZ's but it didn't last to long as it only takes one idiot to spoil the tranquillity.
( I don't mind music in the morning but not the modern boom boom stuff at 8:30am)
Scorchio Saturday
Saturday AM arrived and it was going to be a scorcher if the early morning temperature was
anything to go by. The AACI had a club stand and that is where I headed after being fed and
watered. I had been asked if I would put the Edsel, on the stand and felt quite honoured to be
representing the club in this way.
The format at Stars and Stripes is different
from other shows in that there are two shows in
one. Bear with me and all will be explained.
there is a Saturday show with the usual arena
cavalcade and the Saturday trophies and the
same again on Sunday

They had brought the prize giving forward
by an hour due to the football (the less said
about that the better)
There had been four notes put under the
wipers  inviting the owners on the AACI
stand to attend prize giving as they had won
a prize... so we made our way over to prize
giving and the trophies were duly awarded.
Angie got Best Dodge for her immaculate
Dodge Dart, Barb for her Ford 4x4, Not sure

be awarded Best of Show for Saturday.
Another relaxing night by the caravan
although we did venture down to see the
light show outside the marquee. The show
was real good with a Goldwing and the
Stars and Stripes Pt Cruiser being the most
memorable.  and then back to the bar for a
couple and then barbie time as I was getting
hungry, once fed and watered off to bed
