I awoke to another glorious day with the sun beating down at around 7:30 AM. The weather forecast was set at hot,Hot and then even HOTTER, so hopefully this would bring the day visitor out. I apologise for some of the pics being cropped but in bright sunlight you can't always see the screen properly.
We had set up camp just over the bridge near the entrance to the site and this was a great vantage point to see all the cars as they entered the site. With a constant stream of vehicle's from 8 AM onwards it was going to be a busy day on the showfield
The field next to where we had camped is normally set out for the overspill R/V's but as we walked across the road the sight was incredible, the field was full of car's. I have never known Billing showfield to be so full in all the years that I have been coming to Billing. After a good look round and a few pics we went onto the main field WOW! if was cram packed from the early morning power parker's to the late arrivals at the back, wall to wall American's of all makes and models
Chevy Pick-Up looked like it was fresh out and adapted Caddy rear lights to fit. A fine example of ingenuity and style.
Two examples of the many fine Ford's on display in the overspill show field.

Early Corvette glistened in the midday sun
Pontiac GTO is a multiple prize winner with great attention to detail
There were three Edsel's on display on Sunday Alison and Paul's fine looking 59 Ranger, Bob Draper's lovely 58 Pacer, and a 58 Ranger which I don't know the owner of (maybe Alison will let me know?).

Just an Edsel with a different body. Mercury was one sweet ride
It was my Father-in-Laws birthday on the following Wednesday so birthday cake an drinks all round. HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEWART and thanks for the help with my Edsel it's much appreciated

Sunday showfield was Nirvana for Chevy lovers with plenty of the marque on show. From clean original El-camino, outrageous street 56 and although I love the 58 Edsel rear is this just the best rear end, Patina'd Pick-Up and 58 Biscayne
Mopars a plenty. You don't often see them parked together but these arrived together and sounded awesome with uncorked headers when they entered the show stopping people in their tracks

And it really did shine
